Senior Income Tax Analyst

Position: Senior Income Tax AnalystPosition SummaryForward Air is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Income Tax Analyst to join our global tax team. This role is responsible for U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, ASC 740 tax accounting, and supporting global tax reporting for a multinational public company. The ideal candidate brings approximately four years of experience—preferably from a Big Four firm and/or a large corporate tax environment—with strong technical tax skills and a solid understanding of complex corporate tax matters.Core Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review U.S. federal and state corporate income tax returns, estimates, extensions, and supporting workpapersAssist with quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision calculations, including deferred taxes and uncertain tax positionsAnalyze book-to-tax differences and support consolidated tax reporting requirementsSupport tax aspects of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-QPartner with international tax teams to support global tax reporting and documentationResearch tax law changes and evaluate potential impacts on the businessSupport federal and state income tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiriesAssist with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transactions, and cross-border tax considerationsParticipate in tax planning initiatives, process optimization, and technology enhancementsMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX requirementsCollaborate closely with finance, accounting, and external advisors to support tax-related initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)CPA license or CPA-eligible strongly preferredApproximately 4+ years of relevant income tax experiencePrior Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferredStrong working knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate tax provision processesExperience with U.S. federal and multi-state consolidated corporate tax filingsExposure to international tax concepts and multinational company structures preferredProficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax compliance/provision softwareExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentSkills & Preferred ExperienceExperience with public company tax reportingFamiliarity with SOX controls for tax processesExperience with Oracle ERP and OneSource income tax compliance/provision softwarePrior experience supporting tax functions in a multinational environmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailProactive, self-motivated work style with strong ownership mindsetAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively across teamsAdaptability and comfort working in a dynamic, evolving environmentForward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer#LI-Onsite #LI-LA1Since 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
