Industrial Maintenance Technician Columbia, SC Day and Night shift available Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily operations in a steel manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handsu2011on mechanical and electrical work, troubleshooting complex equipment, and keeping production running smoothly. After a successful 90u2011day contract period, this position converts to a permanent hire. Responsibilities + Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment. + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues. + Support safe and efficient operation of machinery across the facility. + Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to supervisors. + Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement efforts. Required Skills & Experience Candidates should have hands-on experience with several of the following: + Rollers and conveyor systems + lasers and photoeyes + Water tables + Weld machines and weld sensors + CNC machiner + Proximity switches + 480V motors + Forklift and overhead crane maintenance Shift Options + Monday - Thursday + Days: 5:00am - 5:00pm + Nights: 5:00pm - 5:00am + Friday : + Days: 5:00am - 1:00pm + Nights: 1:00pm - 9:00pm + Saturday (during high production periods) + Days: 5:00am - 1:00pm + Nights: 1:00pm - 9:00pm Work Environment Work in a dynamic production floor setting, utilizing cutting-edge technology and equipment to contribute to high-quality outputs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
