Upholstery Technician II u2013 Build the Interiors That Shape the Future of Flight Location: Dallas, TX Pay Rate: $26.94/hour Schedule: Full-Time, 2nd Shift (3:30pm - 2:10am) PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Upholstery Technician to join our team in partnership with a leading Aerospace innovator. In this role, you will play a direct part in crafting the high-quality aircraft interiors that define excellence, comfort, and safety for passengers around the world. Your craftsmanship will help bring engineering visions to lifeu2014one panel, one stitch, one cabin at a time. About the Role As an Upholstery Technician, you will work under minimal supervision to fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create basic patterns using engineering drawings and aircraft specifications. Your expertise with materials, tools, and fabrication techniques will ensure every aircraft interior meets the highest standards of precision and durability. What Youu2019ll Do u2022 Fabricate and install flat panels and curtains using engineering drawings and aircraft specifications u2022 Sew simple covers and work with fabrics, vinyl, leather hides, composites, adhesives, hardware, and power tools u2022 Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install panels u2022 Potentially fabricate metal parts and fit various interior components including windows, headliners, and sidewalls u2022 Use the material tracking system to create parts demands, track squawks, and sign off work u2022 Collaborate with leads and senior technicians to support process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles u2022 Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, housekeeping standards, and proper use of PPE u2022 Address and report unsafe conditions and perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications u2022 High School Diploma or GED u2022 Minimum 2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and hand tools used in upholstery or carpet trades u2022 Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently u2022 Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation u2022 Proficiency with measuring tools and basic math computations u2022 Computer literacy u2022 Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift Preferred Qualifications u2022 Prior experience in the aerospace industry Why Join Us At PDS Tech Commercial, youu2019ll contribute to projects that drive aerospace innovation.
