We are connected by our mission - partnering and healing for a healthy future - and dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: M-FPosition SummaryThe Chaplain Resident is a student who is enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program offered through MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital or is continuing no longer than 6 months following completion of a fourth unit of CPE, as mutually agreed upon by the resident, ACPE Supervisor/Program Coordinator, and Spiritual Care Program Director. The Chaplain Resident participates as a peer to the CPE Chaplain Interns and develops his/her pastoral care skills under the supervision of the ACPE Supervisor/Program Coordinator. He/she practices compassionate and effective spiritual support to patients, families, and staff members to address needs resulting from the impact of illness or injury. The Resident relates to the Chaplain Services team and to multidisciplinary teams as a practicum student and assists in addressing the spiritual/religious needs of patients and families while under supervision.
