This role offers: A great work/life balanceNo weekends or evenings - Monday thru FridayPaid holidays and paid time offRapidly growing team with opportunities for advancementCompetitive compensationBenefits package Duties you will be responsible for: Utilizes the Managed Care Work list to track receipt, delays and completion of requests, to prioritize requests and obtain authorizations at minimum one week prior to scheduled date of service, as possibleWorks Eligibility and Authorization reports for the Diagnostic CenterTracks activity to identify carrier trendsMakes recommendations regarding trends to the department directorReviews and works Denial Reports for the Diagnostic CenterUpdates Diagnostic Center patient accounts with the correct insurance informationIndependently assesses carrier trends, on a proactive basis and communicates information to appropriate personnelFacilitates communication among parties impacted by coding related matters to produce a timely and satisfactory solutionStays informed of insurance requirements and industry related news/policy changes as relate to codingResponds to questions from patients in a courteous and professional mannerCompletes assigned reports and/or projects within deadlinesMaintains a positive & cooperative working relationship with internal and external customersCommunicates in a professional manner with staff in medical offices and co-workersStays informed of current insurance carrier requirements regarding pre-authorization of serviceFollow established corporate and department-specific policies and proceduresPerform other duties as may be assigned cheerfully and willinglyExposed to frequent and constant interruptions in daily functions/scheduleMust be available to customers and staff throughout the dayRequired to work extended hours to meet department needs Minimum Requirements Minimum education requirement is high school diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years experience in healthcare insurance areaDisplay customer services skills, strong interpersonal skills, close attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skillsBe able to work hours necessary to accurately and thoroughly perform dutiesProficient in use of the following computer software: Microsoft office, EMRProficient in use of English language both in written and verbal communicationMust be committed to the protection of confidential information, records and/or reportsAbility to work in various positions (standing, sitting, bending, and walking) for extended periods of timeBilingual / Spanish is a plus We offer a comprehensive benefits package to our eligible employees: Medical Dental Vision Spending Accounts Life / AD&D Disability Accident Critical Illness Hospital Indemnity Legal Identity Theft Pet 401(k) retirement plan with Non-Elective Safe Harbor employer contribution for eligible employees Discretionary profit-sharing with employer contributions of 0% - 4% for eligible employees Additionally, Gastro Health participates in a program called Tickets at Work that provides discounts on concerts, travel, movies, and more.
