Description Looking to pivot out of Big4 into a cutting-edge consulting firm specializing in helping enterprise clients their corporate structuring? This consulting firm is based in Playa Vista and working with industry leaders to maximize tax and other valuation wealth creators. We are looking for an experienced Valuation & Fund Reporting Manager to take ownership of valuation processes, financial reporting, and audit interactions within our organization. This role offers direct collaboration with investment professionals and a unique opportunity to influence key decision-making in a lean, high-impact team. Ideal candidates will bring a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic judgment to ensure the accuracy and integrity of valuation and reporting functions. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead valuation processes for illiquid assets, ensuring thorough analysis and accurate conclusions. u2022 Develop, review, and challenge valuation models with intellectual rigor and attention to detail. u2022 Prepare and update valuation memoranda for auditors, ensuring compliance and defensibility. u2022 Manage quarterly and annual fund financial statements, ensuring consistency and transparency. u2022 Review complex financial disclosures, capital accounts, fee calculations, and waterfall structures. u2022 Collaborate with fund administrators to oversee capital calls, distributions, and other fund operations. u2022 Enhance internal processes and controls by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. u2022 Work closely with investment professionals to understand deal structures and provide transaction-related insights. u2022 Address investor inquiries and support diligence efforts through detailed analysis and reporting. u2022 Proactively resolve accounting or valuation issues to maintain operational integrity. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 6u20138 years of experience, including 3+ years in Big Four audit and 2u20134 years in valuation roles. u2022 Proficient understanding of fair value accounting (ASC 820) standards and alternative asset fund structures. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling, with a focus on precision and efficiency. u2022 Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, defensible documentation and analysis. u2022 Comfortable making judgment calls in situations with incomplete information. u2022 Strong accountability for outcomes, paired with a collaborative and intellectually honest approach. u2022 Experience working in small teams with minimal structure, thriving in a dynamic environment. u2022 High standards for accuracy, rigor, and attention to detail.
