Job Title: CNC Mill and Lathe Operator Job Description We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe / Mill Machinist to join our team on either the 1st or 2nd shift. This position involves operating advanced CNC multi-tasking equipment that combines turning and machining center capabilities, allowing for efficient single-setup part production. The role is integral to producing high-precision components, particularly for aerospace applications, and requires maintaining exceptional accuracy and quality. Responsibilities + Operate CNC Lathe and Mill machines with advanced multi-tasking capabilities. + Program and set up CNC machines based on print requirements and written instructions. + Perform live tooling CNC Lathe operations. + Read blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). + Select and troubleshoot tooling and fixtures. + Develop and document reliable processes. + Contribute positively to a teamwork environment, focusing on productivity, cooperation, data collection, and attitude. + Inspect components using advanced tools like micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Essential Skills + Experience with Mazak Integrex or comparable Mill/Turn machines. + Knowledge of G-Code and Mazatrol. + Strong organizational skills. + Experience working with various materials, including plastics. + Experience with aerospace products with close tolerances of less than 0.0005 inches. + Advanced computer skills. + Advanced inspection skills, including CMM programming. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to perform complex setups independently. + Experience with tool selection, work holding, programming, and operation sequencing for new jobs. + Advanced troubleshooting skills. + Experience running CMM programs and setting up jobs for inspection. + Proficiency in programming using G-Code, Mazatrol, or Mastercam. + Experience with multi-axis CNC machines with complex offsets. + More than 10 years of machining experience in a close-tolerance environment, preferably in aerospace. + CNC Machining training or certification. + NYS Journeymanu2019s certificate. The 1st shift operates from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, while the 2nd shift runs from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Training will take place on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of East Aurora, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
