What youu2019ll do: Eatonu2019s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility. Maintenance Mechanic will do general repairs around the facilities specializing in High Pressure piping & systems. Uses electrical, pneumatic and hand tools. Maintains maintenance item inventories. Orders parts and components. Coordinates with and directs contractors and vendors performing facility and equipment maintenance. Implements preventive maintenance program. In this function you will: u2022 Perform scheduled maintenance duties and some repair work. u2022 Minor grounds maintenance as needed including some snow removal. u2022 Maintain necessary maintenance records using computer system. u2022 Operate common hand and power tools, such as hand drill, saws, hammer, pliers, and wire cutters. u2022 Operate and maintain all equipment under the maintenance departmentu2019s jurisdiction, such as forklift truck and snow blower. u2022 Lead a wide variety of duties including painting, carpentry, mechanical or general utility work, as required. u2022 Perform minor plumbing repairs or installations, such as sink traps, leaking faucets, faulty air or vacuum lines, and other general preventative and corrective maintenance. u2022 Work from ladders and scaffolds, as required. u2022 Assist other maintenance personnel. u2022 Support safety team, Confined Space, Hazmat, Crane/Hoist, and High Pressure Testing, Hot work permitting, forklift and lock-out-tag-out processes. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications u2022 High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required u2022 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility. u2022 Experience working in a manufacturing environment with high pressure u2022 Experience working with basic hand tools. u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
