Job Summary:The Admissions Representative I counsels individuals throughout the admissions and enrollment process based on their individual circumstances or needs. Evaluates prospective student’s academic preparation and interests to determine appropriate opportunities at the University. Represents the University at on- and off-campus events and information sessions. Provides superior customer service for prospective students and families. Additional Department Summary:Provides initial admissions counseling and student support to prospective undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing distance learning programs. Cultivates prospective student inquiries and serves as a liaison between campus student support services (admissions, advisors, registrar, student account services, and financial aid). Manages inquiries made via phone, CRM system (Slate), and UA Online web page inquiries. Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Skills and Knowledge:Excellent communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at once. General knowledge of institutional student services such as admissions, student receivables, and financial aid. General knowledge of UA's mainframe student information system (Banner) and CRM (Slate). Preferred Qualifications:Six (6) months of experience in student recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, communications, education, or counseling.
