We are searching for an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our team in St. Louis, this position you will use best practices and knowledge of landscape architecture principles to support project teams with the development of high value solutions. This position works independently but collaboratively on planning teams to deliver a wide range of planning and design projects, including Department of Defense (Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps), US Intelligence Community or a range of federal civilian agencies. This position is responsible for all related activities in the development of exterior spaces and physical environments. They support the development of project solutions including analysis, designs, details, specifications, estimate costs, and work with multi-disciplinary teams or outside consultants as needed.Projects can range from small, medium, or larger-size master planning and design efforts. Responsibilities will include supporting planning recommendations developed by the team, project validation, and corresponding documentation in compliance with all applicable client, project, government, and Federal/DoD policies or criteria. Planning projects may also include feasibility studies, Vision Plans, Area Development Plans and Installation Development Plans.To be successful in this position you must possess a working knowledge in the application of philosophies and techniques of planning and landscape architecture as well as in research, data collection, field investigation and interviews. Exceptional English language skills, both written and verbal, are required as you will need the ability to capture information and direction through written note taking, sketching, and graphic development and to verbally present information to team members and clients regarding work products.You will follow the direction of senior team members to develop reports, presentations, graphics, construction documents, and specifications; Provide graphic design elements including deliverable page layouts, various charts/figures, brochures, posters, slide shows, and provision of deliverables in a variety of media formats. You will leverage your critical thinking skills to solve complex problems, and take a new perspective using existing solutions. This position will require the chosen candidate to work in our Jacobs office at least 4 days per week. Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) or a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) from an accredited institutionSkilled in the following software: Microsoft Office Applications, Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS.Candidate will be expected to travel to fulfill this position. Travel is usually a couple of days up to one week at a time, with some instances of two weeks at a time for international destinations.United States Citizenship requiredIdeally you will also have experience with: 3d Modeling & Design, Revit, Civil 3D, concept rendering tools, SketchUp 3D Modeling, and Land Fx Prior internships with a firm providing landscape architectural services Willingness and ability to apply for and obtain a Security ClearanceJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
