Job Title: Welder Job Description We are seeking skilled welders to join our team and contribute to our fabrication process. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and grinding parts to clean up weld metal, reading blueprints, and measuring augers using calipers and micrometers. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workstation and assisting in the preparation of bays. Responsibilities + Perform welding and grinding to clean up weld metal. + Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately. + Use calipers and micrometers to measure Auger Flyte. + Maintain a clean and organized workstation. + Assist in preparing bays with helpers. Essential Skills + Experience in MIG welding. + Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols. + Possession of a welding certificate from High School or Technical School. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in fabrication and TIG welding is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our weld shop accommodates up to 20 welders and provides training for 1-2 weeks, primarily on the first shift with a manager. After initial training, employees will work independently with periodic check-ins. We offer positions on both 1st and 2nd shifts: 1st shift runs from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday, and 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 1:00 am Monday through Thursday. Dress code includes jeans with no holes, boots, and a t-shirt, with additional warm attire recommended during the winter months. A weld helmet is required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
