Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.This role will primarily support general surgery and will provide additional support to urology and ENT.A caregiver in this position works7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephonetriage,andestablishcare plans.Administermedicationand itiate CPR and other emergency measures.Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.Assistwith specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeuticprocedures,and specialized patient care equipment.Develop, evaluate,adaptand document health education and provide it to patients and families.Cover other nursing roles within the department.Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accreditedSchool ofNursing(ADN or BSN program)Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within 6 months of hire.One yearof recent experience as an RNORLPN, MedicalAssistantand/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experienceif applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role butremainingin the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting ORa current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory areaPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)Physical Requirements:Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $31.50Maximum hourly: $49.90The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
