As a senior technical leader, youu2019ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business partners to define targetu2011state data architectures and bring them to life using GCPu2019s modern data stacku2014including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Apigee, GKE, and Google Cloud Bigtable for highu2011throughput, lowu2011latency workloads. You will translate complex business requirements into elegant endu2011tou2011end architecture patterns spanning data ingestion, transformation, storage, integration, and governance. Your work will directly influence the scalability, reliability, and strategic value of our data platforms while advancing the organizationu2019s enterprise data strategy. + Architect modern, cloudu2011native data solutions using GCPu2019s advanced analytics and data engineering services. + Design resilient pipelines and ingestion frameworks that support batch, streaming, and realu2011time workloads. + Apply bestu2011practice data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers to support both operational and analytical use cases. + Lead solution design for Bigtableu2011based, highu2011velocity operational data platforms. + Collaborate with crossu2011functional teams to define standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks that accelerate delivery. + Champion secureu2011byu2011design practices, performance optimization, observability, and governance across all data solutions. + Influence enterprise data strategy and help guide the evolution of our cloud data ecosystem. + Enterprise Data Modeling & ArchitectureDesign conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting analytical and operational use cases, aligned with Huntingtonu2019s enterprise data architecture patterns. + Highu2011Scale, Lowu2011Latency Data Solutions with BigtableArchitect and optimize largeu2011scale NoSQL data stores using Google Cloud Bigtable to support realu2011time, highu2011throughput systems such as digital interactions, event processing, and operational intelligence. + Cloudu2011Native Pipelines & Event ArchitectureBuild modern data ingestion and processing frameworks using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and GKE, reflecting cloudu2011native competencies described in enterprise architect roles. + APIu2011Enabled Data ServicesDesign secure, performant, reusable data APIs leveraging Apigee and enterprise integration patterns to enable datau2011asu2011au2011service across the organization. + Platform Governance, Security & ResiliencyChampion secureu2011byu2011design patterns, observability, nonu2011functional requirements, and data governance practices consistent with Huntingtonu2019s architecture standards. + Crossu2011Functional Collaboration & InfluencePartner with engineering, analytics, and business groups to ensure data capabilities align with enterprise strategy, mirroring collaborative expectations from senior architect roles. Basic Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field + Minimum 7 years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or cloudu2011based data engineering roles + Handsu2011on experience designing and delivering enterpriseu2011scale data architectures in cloud environments, with strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) + Proven ability to translate business requirements into targetu2011state data and solution architectures + Strong experience with cloudu2011native, eventu2011driven, and streaming architectures + Experience designing scalable data ingestion, processing, and integration frameworks + Experience participating in architecture governance processes such as design reviews, standards definition, and architectural documentation Preferred Qualifications + 10+ years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or cloudu2011based data engineering roles + Masteru2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline Solid understanding of nonu2011functional requirements including security, resiliency, performance, availability, and observability + Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform services, includin + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence engineering teams and partner with business and product stakeholders + g Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, GKE, and Apigee + Experience architecting highu2011throughput, lowu2011latency operational data platforms using NoSQL or wideu2011column databases (e.g., Bigtable or similar technologies) + Strong background in data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata management + Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and resiliency patterns in cloudu2011native data systems + Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructureu2011asu2011code approaches + Experience working in largeu2011scale or regulated enterprise environments + Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers or architects and provide technical leadership across multiple teams + Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer (preferred but not required) Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Compensation Range: 93,000.00 - 189,000.00 USD Annual The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
