TIG Welder Phoenix, AZ 1st Shift High-Precision Welding Projects If youu2019re a stainlessu2011steel TIG expert who takes pride in clean beads, perfect alignment, and rocku2011solid leadership on the shop floor, this is the role where your craftsmanship truly matters. Weu2019re searching for a Foreman who isnu2019t just a welder u2014 but a builder, a problemu2011solver, and someone who can guide a team while still laying down worldu2011class welds. In this position, every project brings something new. Youu2019ll handle everything from highu2011purity stainless systems to heavyu2011wall schedule piping, working in a stateu2011ofu2011theu2011art shop that values precision, safety, and professional growth. What Youu2019ll Do + Perform highu2011precision butt welds on stainless steel pipe (Schedule 10u2013160), including bevel prep, cleaning, and GTAW welding with full penetration . + Execute openu2011root welds on stainless Schedule 80 pipe u2014 no backing rings, no shortcuts, just pure technique. + Utilize TIG (200+ AMP), Flux Core, and MIG processes depending on project needs. + Lead by example: set pace, uphold quality, mentor welders, and maintain a safe, sharp work environment. + Work directly from blueprints, isometrics, welding symbols , and complex technical drawings. + Oversee purge welding setups to eliminate oxidation and guarantee flawless interior quality. + Balance shop and field work, adapting quickly to changing job needs and environments. What You Bring to the Table + 3u20135+ years of hands-on TIG welding experience in stainless steel process piping and 6G work. + Complete confidence reading and interpreting technical drawings and weld symbols. + Strong awareness of metallurgical behavior in stainless steel and related alloys. + Steady hands, sharp eyes for detail, and the skill to weld consistently in any position. + A commitment to safety u2014 yours, your teamu2019s, and the shopu2019s. Bonus Points If You Haveu2026 + A 6G welding certification u2014 the gold standard of welding skill. + Experience welding 2-inch Schedule 80 pipe, especially in highu2011pressure systems. + Strong Experience in backu2011purge setups and contamination prevention. Schedule & Work Environment + 1st Shift: 5:00 AM u2013 3:30 PM + Five 10-hour shifts (weekends rarely needed) + Minimum: 50 hours/week + Required PPE: Steelu2011toe boots, welding hood + Bring your tools: Square, two hold pins, level, tape measure Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
