Computer-Aided Design Technician

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented entry level Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technician to join our team working in the Washington D.C. Navy Yard. This will be a hybrid position where the employee must be in office at least 1 time per week . The computer-aided design (CAD) Technician in this position will assist in the development and maintenance of the Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 to support system installations and upgrades on United States Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious ship platforms. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Under the supervision of a senior engineer, utilize CAD software to develop ICDs showing the interfaces between various components of the combat system on US Navy ships. + Review existing ICDs and related drawings and provide comments on drawing accuracy. + Interface with various Navy customers to obtain technical information needed to assist in ICD development and updating. Minimum Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent education + Must possess some demonstratable experience using 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, etc.) + Experience with Microsoft Office suite + Experience with Adobe Acrobat Preferred Qualifications: + Familiarity/experience with Navy combat systems + Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo software + Knowledge/experience with 3D CAD software Clearance Requirements: + Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active United States Government Secret security clearance.
