ASnapshot of Your Day The Siemens Energy North America Customs team ensurescompliance with customs regulations and internal requirements efficiently. Aspart of the North America Customs team, the Customs Quality function conductsreviews, manages corrective actions, optimizes processes, identifies dutysavings, prepares reports, locally implements IT demands for corporate coresolutions and handles customs duty payments for Siemens Energy, Inc. Thisindividual contributor role is primarily responsible for controlling and auditingwith a focus on customs compliance with U.S. import regulations and SE CustomsInternal Control Program, conducting regular internal reviews, deployingquality measures and implementing corrective actions. How Youu2019ll Make an Impact + This position requiresproficiency in customs import regulations, including entry procedures, customsvaluation, Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), special programs, and traderemedies + Responsibilities includeconducting internal post-release entry reviews, periodic post-entry audits, andtimely spot-checks + Interface with allstakeholders including business functions, customs brokers, customs operationsand suppliers to obtain needed information to ensure consistency with definedimport and export processes, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive correctiveactions + Prepare post summarycorrections and protests. Support the Regulatory team in activities to respondto CBP requests for information + Develop, collaborate,communicate, and oversee customs key performance indicators to ensure qualityand compliance across high-risk customs areas. Regularly communicate KPIs andfindings to relevant stakeholders including customs brokers, customs management,and business areas + Support the Customsduties ACH Periodic Monthly Statement program. Monitor entry liquidations andrefunds What You Bring + Bacheloru2019sDegree or equivalent of education and experience in related field + 5+years of direct related experience in import operations and auditing + Excellentknowledge of 19 CFR U.S. Customs regulations, US Tariff database, General Rulesof Interpretation and customs brokerage activities. + LicensedCustoms Broker or Certified Customs Specialist is preferred + Experiencewith ERPs, preferably SAP, and Global Trade management software is preferred + Adaptability,effective collaboration across cultures, organizational, problem-solving,analytical, and interpretative skills + Thisrole requires strong interpersonal attributes including high ethical standards,strong organizational and communication skills, high attention to detail,highly self-motivated and a team player Export ControlRequirement: Due to applicableexport control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen ornational, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), orlawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
