Description Our client, a successful civil litigation law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing all aspects of legal billing and invoice processing, ensuring compliance and accuracy across various client platforms. Location: Boston, MA Schedule: Hybrid (3 or 4 days in office, other days remote) Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 (depending on experience) Responsibilities: + Prepare, generate, and manage attorney pre-bills for review and submission + Maintain and manage attorney time entries and billing data + Must be conversant in LEDES (Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard) + Submit invoices and manage billing through client e-billing platforms, including but not limited to: TimeSlips, Tymetrix, Legal Tracker, Legal X, SimpleLegal, TeamConnect, Acuity, and Brightflag. + Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and resolve billing rejections or issues + Track billing status and follow up on outstanding invoices + Coordinate vendor payments and ensure expenses are properly invoiced and billed + Work closely with the firmu2019s external bookkeeper during monthly visits + Assist with check requests and internal financial coordination + Interface with outsourced payroll and HR vendors as needed + Provide general administrative and billing support to attorneys and managing partners Requirements Requirements: + Proven experience in legal billing and invoice management within a law firm or similar environment. + Proficiency in legal timekeeping and e-billing platforms. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks. + Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines efficiently. + Strong organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration. + Attentive and detail-oriented approach when interacting with attorneys, partners, and external vendors. + Competency and proficiency in legal billing systems are prioritized over years of experience.
