As a leading Department of Defense contractor, our dedication to excellence has made us one of the most respected electronic manufacturers in the industry.We are seeking a detail-oriented Circuit Board Rework Technician to remove, replace, and repair electronic components on circuit card assemblies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with soldering, desoldering, and electronic component handling, while maintaining high-quality standards in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment.The Rework Solderer/Circuit Card Assembler II disassembles and reassembles highly sensitive circuit cards. Solders surface mount and through-hole electronic components onto a circuit board while maintaining high quality standards.Position Responsibilities:u2022 u00a0Removes defective components from circuit card assemblies:o u00a0Remove conformal coatings and bonding materialso u00a0Utilizes various equipment and tools such desoldering stations, solder upflow equipment, soldering irons, and hot air desoldering equipment.u2022 u00a0Replaces and attaches new electronic components onto circuit board utilizing basic hand tools, materials and processes including the soldering process and equipment.u2022 u00a0Follows work instructions and router operations to complete necessary work.u2022 u00a0Enters accurate data into company database at the completion of operations.u2022 u00a0Interfaces with engineers, technicians, and supervisors to assist in problem solving or assembly issues.u2022 u00a0Prepares components for installation as required. This includes forming components by hand or automated, bending leads, preconditions leads or wires.u2022 u00a0Follows proper circuit board handling procedures while moving components and boards throughout processes.u2022 u00a0Obtains and maintains certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures.u2022 u00a0Responsible for self-inspection of product for any defects prior to moving product to next step.u2022 u00a0Maintains a clean work environment to ensure product integrity and quality.u2022 u00a0Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization.Skills & Abilities:u2022 u00a0Fine manual dexterityu2022 u00a0Ability to operate various machines and hand toolsu2022 u00a0Demonstrates high attention to detailu2022 u00a0Ability to work independently and as a team player within a small teamu2022 u00a0Enjoys repetitive and routine worku2022 u00a0Ability to read and comprehend work and process instructions (read/understand schematics, CAD drawings or blue prints)u2022 u00a0Fine motor skills, dexterity, and good eyesightQualifications:u2022 u00a0High school diploma or equivalentu2022 u00a0Minimum 5 years of experience soldering various levels of circuit card assemblies including through-hole and surface mount technologyu2022 u00a0Understanding of heat management as applicable to circuit card assembliesu2022 u00a0Basic understanding of chemicals used in circuit card assemblyu2022 u00a0Obtains and maintains basic certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 proceduresu2022 u00a0Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.Work Environment:u2022 u00a0Production Environment: u00a0Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
