Now a portfolio of companies, SPG manages $4B Gross Written Premiums, with organic growth of over 10% since its founding and 1,000+ employees in over 35 offices across the United States.About the PositionThe Accounting Manager reports directly to the SPG Director of Accounting and is responsible for providing accounting oversight and leadership for several established entities within the specialty insurance space. This role requires strong ownership mentality and the ability to manage accounting operations across multiple entities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and HUB Corporate Accounting Policy.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee accounting operations for multiple established entitiesProvide leadership and ownership for day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and complianceEnsure transactional accounting compliance with GAAP and company policies, meeting month-end close timeline deadlinesOversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparationIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across managed entitiesPartner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting mattersManage and develop accounting team members, including performance management and goal settingServe as primary point of contact for accounting-related inquiries for assigned entitiesSupport special projects and initiatives as neededExperience and Knowledge RequirementsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience with demonstrated management and oversight responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principlesProven ability to manage multiple priorities and entities simultaneouslyStrong ownership mentality with ability to work independentlyExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrongly Preferred:Insurance industry experienceCPA certificationExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systemsExperience managing accounting for multiple entities or business unitsLocation: Hybrid environment - open to any location with a HUB Office in the USJoin Our TeamDo you believe in the power of innovation, collaboration, and transformation?
