Overview The Administrator De Novo leads and supports the assimilation, hiring, and training process for identified de novo locations. This position is the liaison throughout a transition between the de novo team, local employees, and home office. The Administrator De Novo oversees and supports the orientation and training of new employees to company policies and standard operating procedures. This position will implement Homecare Homebase (HCHB) software, company culture, and all other aspects of the start-up plan.The Administrator De Novo is the interim, local chief executive agent and contributes to the overall success of the company by leading the local provider in a better way to care for the community in which it serves. This position is responsible for ensuring that the execution of branch operations are completed daily. The administrator de novo effectively manages branch operations, services, personnel performance, and office management ongoingThis role will require overnight travel 2 to 3 weeks per month, and will work remotely when not onsite at a De Novo (start up) location. Travel days are typically Monday returning Thursday after 5pm or Friday am. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possess a high standard of work ethic. Qualifications Must be a Registered Nurse and able to travel 75% or more per yearMust have demonstrated experience in health service administration with at least one year in a supervisory or administrative capacityMust have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the federal, state and local laws and regulatory guidelines that govern the operation of a home care officeDemonstrated experience in a home health care or hospice program Demonstrated experience in management is preferredMust be organized with the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, across all levels of the organizationMust be able to convey thoughts in a way easily understoodMust be able to utilize computers and technology to present informationMust be able to prepare and deliver educational material to employees and community referral sourcesMust be able to maintain a positive, professional, and friendly demeanor in a stressful atmosphereMust be adept at interacting and communicating with a diverse group of individualsMust possess a passion for helping patientsMust be organized and detail orientedMust be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust be self-motivated, possess a high standard of professional ethics, and comply with accepted professional standards and practicesMust possess a valid state driver licenseMust maintain automobile liability insurance as required by lawEducation and Experience (STATE SPECIFIC):COLORADO Must comply with Colorado state regulation 6CCR 1011-1 (7.6) requiring 24 hours of training in the first 12 months if a first time administrator, 8 hours of which must be completed within the first month of employment.Must have documented completion of a minimum of 12 clock hours per year at a health administration seminar or through an approved provider.CONNECTICUTA master degree in nursing with an active license to practice nursing in the state and at least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility program which included care of the sick; or a master degree in public health or administration with a concentration of study in health services administration, and at least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility or program which included care of the sick; or a baccalaureate degree in nursing with an active license to practice nursing in the state and at least two years supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility or program which included care of the sick; or a baccalaureate degree in administration with a concentration of study in health services administration and at least two years supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility or program which included care of the sick; or a physician licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the state of Connecticut who has had at least one year supervisory or administrative experience in a health care facility or program which included care of the sick; or employment as the administrator of a home health care agency in this state as of January 1, 1981, who has been so employed continuously for the five years immediately preceding January 1, 1981; or continuous employment as an administrator of a home health care agency as of January 1, 1979 ; except that on and after January 1, 1986, no person shall be employed as an administrator of a home health care agency pursuant to this subdivision unless such person additionally meets one of the requirements above. Must be administrator for only one agency.FLORIDAMust be administrator for only one agency; or manage up to five agencies located within one agency geographic service area or within immediate contiguous counties and have identical controlling interest.ILLINOISMust have at least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or a related health provider program; or must meet the requirements for a public health administrator.LOUISIANAMust have three years management experience in health care service delivery.MARYLANDMust possess education in health services or administration, evidenced by being a physician; registered nurse; or college graduate with a bachelor degree in a health-related field. Must also have at least oneyear of supervisory experience in hospital, home health, or public health program management.OKLAHOMAMust possess an Oklahoma administrator license. Must complete 12 continuing education units per year.TEXASMust comply with Texas state regulation 97.259 a-g requiring 24 hours of training in the first 12 months if a first time administrator. Must have documented completion of a minimum of 12 clock hours per year at a health administration seminar or through an approved provider.
