About the Role As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will efficiently coordinate and implement repairs and perform equipment and facility maintenance in a cost-effective manner.What You’ll DoDaily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipmentRoutine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, bailers, cardboard conveyors and power and material handling equipmentPerform inspection and repair of fire protection equipmentParts administrationMeet with department supervisor and/or manager to anticipate and plan for future preventive maintenanceCollaborate with department managers and supervisors to address mechanical opportunities while ensuring optimum processing productivityProvide back-up for department Assistant Manager and/or Manager when absentCompile and maintain accurate inventory records and reportsProvide on-the-job (OJT) training to AssociatesPerform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture movesPerform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning unitsMaintain lighting throughout the facilityAssist outside contractors to perform various dutiesPromptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issuesWhat Skills You HaveRequiredWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipmentCompliance with all MSDS standards and lock-out/tag proceduresAbility to work with minimal supervisionMust provide own basic set of tools and keep the work area neat and cleanEssential FunctionsThe requirements listed below are representative of functions you will be required to perform, however you may be required to perform additional functions.
