This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience on meaningful projects while collaborating closely with contractors, project teams, and clients to help deliver safe, reliable, and high‑quality construction outcomes.Observe and document construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and approved submittals Verify quality of completed work through field measurements, computations, and monitoring of contractor quality control efforts Identify nonconforming work and support evaluation of corrective actions to ensure acceptability Review contractor payment applications, change orders, and quantities of completed work to support progress paymentsCoordinate with owners, contractors, and project teams while maintaining clear reports and accurate project recordsHigh School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferredMinimum of 7 years of related construction observation experience requiredPrior roadway and/or bridge construction experience preferred; SCDOT experience strongly preferredAASHTOWare experience preferredKnowledge of construction techniques and ability to comprehend construction documentsAbility to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with project teams and assisting senior team members with complex projectsStrong communication and mathematics skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Valid driver’s license required; extensive travel may be requiredAsphalt Roadway Technician, Earthwork and Base Technician, Level 1 & 2 Concrete Field Technician, or ACI concrete field-testing technician certification preferredMake a measurable impact by ensuring high‑quality, safe, and sustainable constructionGrow your career in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment committed to excellenceCurious about the impactful work our Construction Inspection team is doing?
