Opportunity: Task Force Assistant Director of FinanceAs a member of HHM's Taskforce team, you will travel as needed to provide expert financial support and stability throughout our hotel portfolio. This taskforce role is designed for a highly adaptable professional who can step into various properties to manage the day-to-day operation of the accounting office and assist in providing financial leadership across different brands and hotel types. You will ensure HHM’s core financial processes are executed with excellence across every unique property profile.Your Growth Path Director of Finance- Area Director of Finance -- Regional Director of FinanceYour FocusesInterview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.Analyze financial data of operations, in order to advise hotel management and to assist in maintaining an efficient operation.Leverages strong functional leadership and communication skills to influence the management team and to lead own team.Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.Ensures profits and losses are documented accurately.Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued.Compiles, codes, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audits, or verify information or data.Maintains a strong accounting & operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability and manage business risks.Generates and reviews financial reports that are linked to the plan’s financial goals.Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities.Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.Perform other duties as requested by management.Your Background and SkillsBachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.Minimum 3-5 years as assistant Controller in Hotel.High degree of travel and the ability to work in various locations for extended periods as needed.HHM Benefits and PerksMedical, Dental and Vision Health InsurancePaid Time Off401k Company MatchFree Basic Life InsuranceTravel DiscountsCommuter Transit and Commuter Parking BenefitsEmployee Assistance and Wellness ProgramEducational/Professional DevelopmentTechnology ReimbursementsWork Environment and ContextWork schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.Significant travel between various hotel locations is a primary requirement of this role.What We BelievePeople Are Our Capability - Hearts That Serve - Only Excellence - Stay Nimble - Own ItHHM Hotels is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
