WOMEN Obstetrics & Gynecology, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their growing team!As an experienced practitioner, the Registered Nurse/LPNis accountable for providing high quality, individualized, goal directed care for all patients and their families through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.Applicants with one year of OB/GYN experience and knowledge of Athena EMR will be given priority.At least two years of experience in a physician office or hospital Experience calling in pharmacy requests Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications Good communication skills Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: General Patient Care Greets patients and escorts them from the reception room to exam room Prepares patients for exam or treatment by taking a history, height/weight, and blood pressure, then recording the information in the patient's electronic chart Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments Assists physicians in preparing for examinations and minor procedures Administers injections, under physician supervision Provides general nursing care to patients; administers prescribed medications, treatments, and immunizations in accordance with nursing standards Collects specimens, labels, and complete lab order Disposes of contaminated items according to OSHA guidelines. Telephone and Administrative Triages incoming telephone calls; instructs patient and family regarding treatment instruction, then documents action taken in patient chart Process prescription requests to pharmacy Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions Attends annual CPR certification every other year Attends all staff meetings and huddles Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by management or physiciansGraduate from an accredited school of nursingState of Tennessee RN or LPN LicenseBLS certificationAt least one year of working experience as an RN or LPNWhy Together Women’s Health (TWH)?Because we do things a bit differently here.
