Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed.Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.**Previous Scrub experience in Hospital OR Required **Day to Day duties:Scrub on all cases. GEN, Ortho, Spine, Urology, ENT. Robotics assisted (DaVinci SI/ MAKO) Ortho cases (total Knee/ Hip replacement).Associates are cross trained for all services, no specialized service Teams.Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day’s cases.Maintain Sterile field during procedures.Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon’s needs.Maintaining and updating preference cards.8 OR SuitesApprox. 180-200+ cases per monthSchedule: 36hrs/ week- variable shifts and days of the week per surgical volume and current unit needs. TBD during interview with OR manager.Call is required for most positions. Variable per needs/ surgical volume of unit. Call in rotation with team.30Min callback radius requiredIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Basic Computer skills required.One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.Experience in a specialty field preferred.HS Diploma/GED requiredCompletion of an approved Surgical Technician program requiredBLS from the American Heart Association requiredCurrent registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. * A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech requiredCertification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) requiredPhysical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
