Responsible for preparation fo the annual budget and establishment of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy and usefulness of the company's financial and operational results.Preparation of detailed monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAPPreparation of weekly financial estimates, budget-to-actual comparisons, KPI reports and other financial and operational analyses and reporting as requiredMonitor financial results and key performance indicators and identify, explain and develop solutionsto improve overall performancePreparation of annual budget in consolationwith management teamsConduct thorough reviews, reporting, and reconciliationsof inventory on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis; partner with team members to address and explain variancesMaintain and create journal entries in general ledger including all necessary reconciliationsAdminister AR functions for the businessAdminister AP functions for the business insuring accurate coding of invoices and maintenance of the Chart of AccountsInterface with vendors as neededCoordinate the provision of information to the parent companyActively engage with operations and division management to foster collaboration and efficiencyRecommend policies and procedures relating to the financial and business practices of the companyAddress special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed, demonstrating flexibility and responsivenessOther duties as assignedThis is an on-site position. Daily presence required outside of scheduled time off and / or unforeseen circumstances.Qualified candidates for the Controller position should possess the following:BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent in experienceA minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting position is required, preferably in a direct marketing-driven environment. General ledger experienceDemonstrated ability to develop financial presentations and provide modeling analysisExcellent computer skills, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power-Point)Experience with AS400 and other web based systemsExcellent strategic thinking and evaluation skillsExcellent time management and multi-tasking skillsStrong attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to build successful relationships within the team and across the parent company organizationAbility to effectively present information to an individual or group, both written and verballyQualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.Must be at least 18 years of age or older.Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.National Beef is a leader in producing fresh, chilled and further processed beef products for customers in the U.S. and worldwide.
