If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please click the submit button and follow for next steps.Barton Associates is seeking a highly motivated Plumbing Designer for your Pittsburgh put of data into computer programsPerforms basic design calculationsDesign and layout of basic project elementsResearch code requirementsDraft designs he/she has originated or provided by lead Engineer or DesignerAssists in preparing studies and reportsBecome familiar with discipline technical specificationsPerforms basic fieldwork, surveys, and research to document existing conditionsDuties as assignedIn addition to the duties shared above you may also be asked to perform the following duties based on your level of experience. , Is assigned to a project team and is under supervision of projectâs discipline lead EngineerPrepares studies, reports, opinions, and recommendations for the approval of the project lead EngineerMake recommendations regarding basic systemsPerforms design calculations and makes basic design layouts required in the projection of a complete set of working drawingsMay assist lead Engineer in design of more complex system elementsResearches code requirementsAssist in the preparation of opinions of probable construction costsConsults with public agencies and other organizations concerning utilities, design requirement and required approvalsMay assist lead Engineer or Construction Services Representative during construction by reviewing shop drawings, responding to informational request, preparing addendums and/or bulletins and making site visits., May delegate drafting tasks of designs he/she has originated to discipline BIM technicians and supervise production of sameMay coordinate discipline components and design with other project team membersRequirementsWhile serving as a BIM Technician, demonstrates proficiency in performing the responsibilities of this position on a consistent basis, or 2-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering TechnologyWhile serving as a Designer, demonstrates proficiency in performing the responsibilities of this position on a consistent basis, or Accredited 4-year Engineering degree and has passed the EIT examWhile serving as a lead Designer demonstrates proficiency in performing the responsibilities of this position on a consistent basisAbility to remain current with discipline state-of-the-art designAbility to learn and become knowledgeable in various codes and regulations concerning disciplineIntermediate written and oral communication skillsIntermediate to advanced level working with AutoCAD, BIM, REVIT, and Microsoft Office365
