Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description The role of Mechanical Engineer involves providing essential production support to both the machining and assembly areas. You will be working on commercial engineering projects, specifically focusing on fire and emergency plumbing and body systems. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine vital design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. Responsibilities + Provide production support to machining and assembly areas. + Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors. + Sketch rough layouts and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes. + Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements. Essential Skills + Mechanical design and engineering expertise. + Proficiency in CAD, particularly AutoCAD. + Experience in new product development. + Strong drafting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience as a designer or mechanical engineer. + Familiarity with design packages is preferred. Work Environment The work environment consists of an office setting where you will engage in designing and collaborating with both internal and external customers. You will be part of a growing engineering team of 17, with plans to expand by adding four more members. The team culture combines a small company feel with the advantages of a larger engineering team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Marion, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
