Essential Job Functions: u00b7 Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware and kitchen items, using dish machines or by hand u00b7 Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas u00b7 Cleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking area u00b7 Ensures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standards u00b7 Keeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly u00b7 Removes trash from dish room and transports to dumpster and cleans and sanitizes garbage cans u00b7 Performs other duties as assigned Food & Beverage duties (if applicable) u00b7 Follows Executive Chef/Sous Chef assignments for opening and closing procedures u00b7 Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean Education & Experience: u00b7 No experience required Knowledge Skills & Abilities: u00b7 Ability to understand and follow direction u00b7 Ability to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicable u00b7 Ability to work cooperatively with others u00b7 Ability to adhere to Company's Universal Service Standards Physical Requirements u00b7 Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift u00b7 Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storeroom u00b7 Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bend and squat u00b7 Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops and brooms Environmental Working Conditions u00b7 Will be in contact with chemical cleaning agents u00b7 Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and tripping u00b7 Frequently immerses hands in water; works frequently in a hot and damp environment Location: Grand Rapids Complex (Van Andel Arena, Acrisure Amphitheater, Amway Stadium) in Grand Rapids, Michigan Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. This position requires minimal stooping and lifting, substantial standing; walking and manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a computer is required.
