Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and optimize the financial operations of our organization in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and driving process improvements. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage the accounting team, supporting growth and ensuring efficient daily operations. u2022 Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to achieve accurate and timely reporting. u2022 Ensure compliance with internal accounting standards and U.S. regulations for all financial statements. u2022 Analyze financial trends and variances, presenting insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. u2022 Collaborate with various departments to support business initiatives and enhance financial transparency. u2022 Provide expertise on complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with standards and strengthening internal controls. u2022 Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely preparation and review of accounts. u2022 Manage internal control activities, ensuring all processes are executed accurately and consistently. u2022 Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate successful completion of financial statement audits. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and team management within an organization of 100+ employees. u2022 Proven experience in a service-based industry or a similar field. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or a related discipline is required. u2022 Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring and developing teams. u2022 Expertise in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with financial statement audits and compliance with regulatory standards. u2022 Proficiency in handling accounts receivable, journal entries, and maintaining financial accuracy. u2022 Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
