Job Summary and Responsibilities CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Pulmonologist to join our Pulmonary/Interventional/Thoracic Oncology Service Line. About the Opportunity: + Schedule: + Key Responsibilities: + Develop, implement, and grow comprehensive Interventional Pulmonology services, within the collaborative environment of our Pulmonary and Thoracic Oncology Teams. + Perform Advanced IP Procedures: Expertly execute a full spectrum of interventional pulmonology procedures, including: + Diagnostic bronchoscopy (EBUS-TBNA, navigational bronchoscopy, peripheral lung biopsy) + Therapeutic bronchoscopy (airway stenting, tumor debulking, balloon bronchoplasty, cryotherapy, brachytherapy) + Pleural procedures (thoracoscopy, indwelling pleural catheter placement) + Management of complex airway disorders and malignant pleural disease. + Provide Consultative Care: Offer specialized interventional pulmonology consultations for complex thoracic cases. + Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with surgery, oncology, critical care, and general pulmonology to ensure integrated patient management. + General Pulmonary: Cover the general pulmonary consult service on a regular basis with strong APP support. + Patient-Centered Care: Deliver empathetic communication, clear treatment explanations, and prioritize patient safety and satisfaction throughout all interactions. + Quality & Safety: Adhere to national guidelines and best practices in interventional pulmonology, actively participating in quality improvement initiatives. + Compensation: Competitive Base Salary, Commencement Bonus. + Benefits: Comprehensive package including Health/Dental/Vision, 401k with match, Malpractice insurance with tail coverage, CME & allowance, Professional Dues, Relocation Reimbursement, and a Cell Phone Stipend. + Additional Perk: NO STATE INCOME TAX Job Requirements + MD or DO from an accredited institution + Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program. + Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine fellowship program. + Completion of an accredited Interventional Pulmonology fellowship program. + Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Interventional Pulmonology + Licensure: Ability to obtain an unrestricted TN and GA medical license + Certification: AHA ACLS + Proven experience in a wide range of interventional pulmonology procedures. Prior experience in program development is preferred but strong fellowship training is highly valued. + Skills: Exceptional diagnostic acumen, advanced procedural skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, collaborative mindset, and commitment to superior patient care.
