Join the Kellyu00ae Professional & Industrial team as a Tax Collector, supporting tax collection for counties and cities across Arizona. Why you should apply to be a Tax Collector: + Pay Rate: $20/hr + Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007 + Set up/Schedule: Hybrid role; must attend training onsite. Flexible schedule between 7:45am to 5:15pm, Mondayu2013Friday. + Employment Type: Contract, with potential for permanent employment based on performance and culture fit Whatu2019s a typical day as a Tax Collector? You will: + Review and manage taxpayer accounts, verifying and updating key information. + Contact taxpayers via phone and field visits to resolve delinquent tax liabilities (individual, corporate, withholding, TPT). + Educate taxpayers on online resources, current tax policies, and promote voluntary compliance. + Negotiate payment arrangements and, when required, participate in asset seizure/sales to resolve debts. + Document all activities in multiple systems and participate in team engagement activities to support success. + Meet performance and compliance expectations, using creative problem-solving to help taxpayers achieve compliance. This job might be an outstanding fit if you have: + At least 2 yearsu2019 call center experience (banking/finance, insurance, or telecommunicationsu2014not technical support or dispatch). + Demonstrated ability to multitask, stay organized, and communicate wellu2014both verbally and in writing. + Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and basic math. + Creative problem-solving skills and a goal-oriented, positive attitude. + Great interpersonal skills and the ability to retain new knowledge easily. + Spanish-speaking skills (preferred). Education Requirements: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Associate degree or higher preferred. Additional Information: + Initial intensive onsite training (3u20136 weeks, 8:30 AMu20135 PM; attendance is critical). + Must live in Greater Phoenix Metro, attend 1st day orientation in person, and be able to transport equipment (micro desktop, 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, and headset). + Hybrid work; hardwired internet required (5G router option available). + Must be up-to-date with Arizona state taxes. + Pre-employment checks: state/federal background check, fingerprinting, AZ tax records check (last 5 years). + Short work histories or purely switchboard/dispatch call center experience are not a good fit.
