Sr. Accountant

Description . The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while driving process improvements and supporting strategic business decisions. Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities u2022 Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements. u2022 Oversee preparation and review of internal and external financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures for a public company. u2022 Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets. u2022 Design and maintain effective internal controls to ensure SOX compliance in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Develop, document, and optimize business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. u2022 Partner with external auditors for year-end audits and quarterly reviews; coordinate with tax advisors and other external consultants as required. u2022 Utilize NetSuite ERP for all accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, and analytics. u2022 Analyze financial results, prepare variance analyses, and present insights to executive management. u2022 Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff, fostering professional development and continuous improvement. u2022 Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and business unit leaders to support cost reduction initiatives and gross margin improvements. u2022 Support quarterly earnings release preparation and coordinate with investor relations as needed. Required Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. u2022 Minimum 7 years progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing company. u2022 Prior experience in a publicly traded company and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements. u2022 Advanced expertise with NetSuite ERPu2014implementing, optimizing, reporting, and troubleshooting. u2022 In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls, and internal audit best practices. u2022 Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills. u2022 Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences. u2022 Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications u2022 MBA, CMA, or advanced degree. u2022 Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing setting. u2022 Prior exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or integration projects. u2022 Strong Excel and data visualization/reporting skills; exposure to PowerBI is a plus.
