Smarter, Better, Now.ADB SAFEGATE's weather solutions provide real-time, accurate meteorological insights, empowering airports to anticipate and manage weather conditions efficiently.The OpportunityA Field Service Engineer spends most of their time in the field or at a customer site where he/she helps troubleshoot equipment problems. Field Service Engineers have specific training in the equipment they maintain which requires sound knowledge of the system, wiring, and sensing technology of a system. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters, work independently most of the time, adhere to schedules, follow company processes, manage customer expectations and are able to quickly repair/troubleshoot system problems in the field.Business Line:This role directly supports our Weather business. The team provides field maintenance to Instrument Landing Systems (ILS), Automated Weather Observations Systems (AWOS), Control Tower and NAVAIDS and Road/Runway Weather Information Systems (RWIS).You will make an impact by....Managing a customer portfolio.Providing routine maintenance checks on a schedule and within regulatory compliance (FAA, DOT etc).Providing timely and detailed site reports to central office following all customer visits.Using company RM3 monitor tools to manage customer outages/uptime of systems.Providing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks.Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determine proper solution.Providing field calls to customer system outages.Managing inventory of company owned spare parts.Managing monthly expense reporting.Managing company owned vehicle - routine maintenance, brake checks, oil changes as needed.Following all company procedures and protocolsThe talent we want to inspire has..Five years of Field Service experienceAble to drive up to 8 hours per dayAble to travel 75% of the timeLift up to 50-70 poundsAble to climb 30-foot towers/properly use all safety climbing equipmentHave the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipmentDocument testing procedures and written work in FAA/DOT logbooksFollow all regulatory rules or requirements of job site, inclusive of OSHA and EPA regulationsWork independently on-site (most of time only person on-site)Replace/install sensors upon failureCommunicate any field issues/concerns to customer and/or to supervisor or central officeProperly use test equipment, hand-held tools, and power tools as neededProperly test power source and voltageHold a valid driver's licenseThis would be a plus but not a mustILS CertificationProficient in tower climbingHold FCC licenseWhat's on offerWe value you and your contribution in the business.
