Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. This role requires a skilled individual with strong attention to detail to support key financial functions, including intercompany accounting and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and execute month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded. u2022 Prepare and review audit schedules, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. u2022 Handle complex intercompany transactions and streamline reconciliation processes. u2022 Analyze large datasets using advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and lookups. u2022 Assist with cleaning up intercompany accounts to enhance accuracy and efficiency. u2022 Utilize Sage Intacct software for financial management and reporting. u2022 Collaborate with team members to support ongoing audit requirements. u2022 Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions. u2022 Provide independent support to reduce backlog and improve team bandwidth. Requirements u2022 At least 7 years of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in intercompany accounting and transaction management. u2022 Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUP. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. u2022 Experience with Sage Intacct software for financial operations. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management. u2022 Familiarity with financial statement audits and compliance practices. u2022 Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage complex data and processes.
