Job Description

Scholarship Awarding and Case ManagementAdminister assigned scholarship programs by reviewing student eligibility, resolving routine verification issues, and ensuring timely awarding and disbursement of funds.Monitor eligibility for new and continuing scholarship recipients, including renewal criteria and enrollment requirements.Review financial aid files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program municate with students regarding scholarship status, documentation requirements, and financial aid responsibilities via phone, email, and in person.Financial Aid Processing and ComplianceRun and review daily and weekly reports related to scholarship and financial aid processing to support Title IV, state, and institutional compliance.Apply federal, state, and institutional regulations and Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid policies to casework and awarding decisions.Assist with reporting and audit support activities related to scholarships and financial aid programs, as assigned.Operational Support and DocumentationMaintain accurate forms, reports, and files related to scholarship administration.Assist with maintaining policies and procedures documentation for assigned scholarship processes.Assist with developing and updating written informational materials related to scholarships and financial aid processes.Collaboration and ServiceServe as a liaison with other university departments, parents, and external agencies to exchange information and resolve routine scholarship-related issues.Escalate complex or unusual issues to supervisors in accordance with established procedures.Professional Development and Other DutiesParticipate in training and professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of financial aid and scholarship regulations.Assist supervisors and team leads with projects and deadlines as directed.Perform other related duties related to the work described for a Financial Aid Counselor II.
