05 - 178832 mpAu00a0local company is seeking anu00a0EMH/Waste Management Associate to join their team.u00a0 Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. tou00a04 p.m.Job Responsibilities:u00a0- Conduct daily inspections of Satellite Accumulation Areas, ensure proper labeling, organization, and compliance with 90-day storage area requirements- Promptly remove full hazardous wasteu00a0containers from production lines and replace them with designated emptyu00a0containers- Ensure proper processing and maintenance of waste streams, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials, in accordance with regulatory requirements- Respond to and properly address spills, ensure appropriate containment, cleanup, and disposal procedures are followed- Manage and maintain theu00a0Wastewateru00a0Treatment System, associated processes and maintain and replace wash solution filters as required- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of containment systems to prevent environmental releases- Operate and maintain vacuum systems used for material collection or cleanup- Punch aerosol cans and ensure their proper disposal in accordance with waste management protocols and neutralize designated units- Sample and ph testing of accumulated wastes stacking and organization of waste room and drainu00a0wastewateru00a0totes accumulated- Maintain the wash solution levels and titration/cleanliness of wash solution- Conduct monthly fire extinguisher checks, ensuring all units are accessible and in good working order and coordinate or perform fire extinguisher replacements and repairs as necessary- Ensure first aid boxes are fully stocked and well-maintained at all times- Assist in emergency situations, which may require the use of a full-face respirator- Contribute to the general safety and well-being of all employees by identifying hazards and promoting safe work practices- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthlyu00a0EHSu00a0checklists and complete associated documentation accurately and on timeJob Qualifications:- Must have a High School Diploma oru00a0GED- Must have a working knowledge of commercial environmental services and knowledge of blood-borne pathogens, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials handling procedures- Must have the ability to properly conduct monthly fire extinguisher checks- The ability to contribute to the general safety and well-being of all employees by identifying hazards and promoting safe work practices is needed- Must be able to maintain daily, weekly, and monthlyu00a0EHSu00a0checklists and complete associated documentation accurately and on time- Must have the physical capability to stand, stretch, crouch, squat, and bend for long periods of time and safely lift supplies and equipment on a continual basis- An understanding ofu00a0OSHAu00a0standards regarding a safe work environment (e.g., slips, trips, and falls) is mandatory- Must have strong time management, planning, and organization skills with excellent interpersonal, communication, basic critical thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesu00a0Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.u00a0Area Temps still believes that the best way to serve both our employees and our customers is through personal service.
