Maintenance Technician u2013 Distribution Center Location: Memphis, TN Shift: D1 Tuesdayu2013Friday 6:00 AM u2013 4:30 PM Pay: $ 22.00/hour Environment: Climate-Controlled DC Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are hiring an experienced DC Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume distribution center. This role focuses on maintaining and repairing material handling equipment (MHE), conveyor systems, industrial battery systems, and baler equipment , with a strong emphasis on safety and minimizing downtime. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role . Candidates must be comfortable working around heavy equipment and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities + Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime + Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on: + Conveyor systems + Material Handling Equipment (MHE) + Electrical and mechanical systems + Change, service, and maintain industrial MHE batteries (forklift, reach truck, order picker): + Battery change-outs using hoists or rollers + Inspect cables, connectors, and cells + Follow battery room safety procedures + Maintain and repair industrial baler equipment (cardboard and plastic): + Clear jams and fault conditions + Support hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components + Perform LOTO during repairs + Use root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues + Track work orders, parts usage, and repairs using CMMS + Support control room, storeroom, and vendor/contractor coordination + Perform light fabrication, cutting, welding, or installation work as needed + Follow all safety standards including PPE and LOTO Required Qualifications (Must Have) + 2+ years of maintenance experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or industrial environment + Hands-on experience with industrial batteries and baler equipment + Strong knowledge of: + Mechanical and electrical systems + Conveyors and MHE + Ability to work independently and complete complex repairs + Experience using CMMS + Strong safety awareness and LOTO experience Preferred Qualifications + Experience with PLCs, VFDs, or industrial controls (Allen Bradley / Siemens) + Industrial electrician or electro-mechanical background + Certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Systems + Associateu2019s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience Apply Today Weu2019re hiring quickly and would love to connect with you about the best shift and role for your schedule.
