Description Shifts (First month will be M-F, 7:30AM-4:30 PM) Wed-Sat 0700 - 1800 Sun-Wed 0700 - 1800 This is a long-term ongoing Datacenter Tech opportunity. This project consist of build out and support of tan NVIDIA datacenter. Must be open to installation and deployment workload as well. Level 3: u2022 Proven experience as a technical lead and with the ability for people supervision u2022 Initial Contact/Liaison between TEK team members and NVIDIA management u2022 Prioritize and manage workload across team u2022 Review build documentation before project and validate any questions/concerns u2022 Direct build activities related to DC Ops u2022 Designate predetermined training path in line with NVIDIA standards u2022 Provide advanced troubleshooting support and resolution of tickets u2022 Ensure projects are aligned to NVIDIA DC standards u2022 Serving as point of contact for TEKsystems and NVIDIA u2022 Coordinate activities with other teams as needed for project builds and escalations u2022 Escalation point of contact for L1 & L2 techs on the team. Day-to-day technical responsibilities: - Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate the problem that the server is encountering. - Order replacement parts and install them in servers and ship back the defective part to their respective vendors. - Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed. - Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers. - Reach out and assist network admins on any issues they are having with a server that can range from: replacing broken or damaged cables, re-routing cables to different ports on the server or switch, replacing optics on both server and switch ports, changing out parts and installing upgraded versions of those parts in servers. And supporting their DC/Lab teams. - Temporarily rack and stack a server or switch in a cabinet and cable it so the network admin can remotely log in and run configurations on device. - Assist network admins who reach out requesting specific assistance with servers or switch. - Assist out with Level 1 responsibilities as necessary. It is critical that that all submittals be true L3 DC techs with an understanding of break/fix troubleshooting. They must also be willing to so the L1/L2 rack/stack for deployments as needed as well. This is still very much a technician role. L2 troubleshooting is not remote hands or people being walked through tickets. They need to be able to troubleshoot independently and isolate logical issues using Linux. 2 recent valid references are required.
