Non CDL Driver

Based in Michigan, Zeeland Lumber & Supply operates truss and wall panel component manufacturing plants along with full-service building material yards that distribute lumber and an expansive range of specialty products, such as windows, doors, roofing, cabinets, decking, and interior and exterior trim..u00a0A Brief OverviewThe Non-CDL Driver I is responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of materials to various job sites and other locations. This is an entry-level driving position with a focus on delivering raw materials and smaller orders. This position is not a CDL driver but may require some certification depending on State law.u00a0What you will dou00a0Operate safely.u00a0Participate in a positive work environment.u00a0Check orders for accuracy.u00a0Organize and secure load.u00a0Obtain approval on all loads from supervisor for proper count and conditions of load.u00a0Assist in maintaining good housekeeping in yard and warehouse.u00a0Deliver and unload materials to customer's satisfaction.u00a0Follow guidelines from supervisor.u00a0Complete daily equipment inspection.u00a0Record all merchandise that is returned by truck.u00a0Complete necessary paperwork such as delivery tickets and credit slips.u00a0Provide excellent customer service.u00a0Assist in unloading material returned for credit.u00a0Relay messages sent by customers while on job.u00a0Assist supervisor, other employees and other work areas, as assigned.u00a0May be subject to DOT and FMCSA jurisdictions and restrictions.u00a0Typically delivers raw materials to customer.u00a0Required For All Jobsu00a0Perform other duties as assigned.u00a0Comply with all policies and standards.u00a0Adhere to Company's commitment to workplace safety.u00a0Participate in and complete assigned trainings.u00a0Education Qualificationsu00a0High School Diploma or GED required.u00a0Experience Qualificationsu00a01-3 years of experience driving trucks required.u00a0Lumber dumping experience preferred.u00a0Skills and Abilitiesu00a0Ability to do basic math, read orders, writes instructions and complete forms.u00a0Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.u00a0Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.u00a0Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.u00a0Maintain current operator's license and meet company driver qualification requirements.u00a0Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS and other necessary business applications).u00a0Licenses and Certificationsu00a0DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required.u00a0Additional Potential Opportunities based on experience:Non CDL Driver II.u00a0Zeeland Lumber & Supply, a Division ofu00a0US LBM Holdings, LLC, is an equal-opportunity employer.
