Job Title: Inventory Cycle Counter Shift: 6am - 2:45pm M-F Pay: $19/hr Location: Westside, Jacksonville FL (32254) 3-6 month long CONTRACT position Job Description The Inventory Cycle Counter performs daily cycle counts for parts, raw materials, and finished goods used in tank fabrication. This role requires locating, identifying, and counting inventory across the shop floor, warehouse, paint department, and staging areas. The position involves measuring plate, pipe, and fittings with a tape measure to verify dimensions and following a paper-based count process. The role also includes recording counts clearly and returning them for reconciliation, investigating basic variances, and escalating as needed, while coordinating with production, receiving, and shipping to support inventory accuracy improvements. Responsibilities + Perform daily cycle counts for parts, raw materials, and finished goods. + Locate, identify, and count inventory across various departments. + Measure plate, pipe, and fittings with a tape measure to verify dimensions. + Follow paper-based count process and record counts clearly. + Investigate basic variances and escalate issues as needed. + Coordinate with production, receiving, and shipping to improve inventory accuracy. Essential Skills + 1+ year of inventory cycle counting experience. + 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing or production facility. + Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. + Capability to lift up to 40 lbs unaided and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, squatting, and climbing ladders. + Proficiency in data entry and inventory management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with Excel for simple data entry. + Detail-oriented and reliable with legible handwriting. + Experience in shipping and receiving is a plus. + Forklift operation experience is a big plus. The facility is non-climate controlled, with exposure to steel and paint, requiring personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection. The role involves extended walking and standing, with occasional use of steps and ladders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
