Job Summary and Qualifications The Supv, Respiratory Therapy, under the direction and supervision of the Director, has accountability for assignments of shift activities and follow-up to ensure that assignments are completed as ordered by physicians. Provides and oversees delivery of respiratory care, has accountability for the Quality Assurance of the Blood Gas systems to assure successful CAP inspections. Supervisor is responsible for the performance improvement functions of evaluation, monitoring, analyzing, training, inventory control, maintaining regulatory and compliance requirements and risk management processes. What you will do in this role: + Determines priority on patient care and completes work within appropriate time frame. + Delegates work appropriate to job classification with clear concise directions. + Ensures accuracy and completeness of work performed. + Follows hospital policy and procedure in performing job functions, skills and tasks. + Willing to adjust personal schedule in cases of workload fluctuations or other departmental needs. + When assigned work is complete, seeks additional tasks to be done. + Performs well in stress and emergency situations, demonstrating effective coping skills. + Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task.
