About the Role: As a CBRE Assistant Chief Engineer, you will perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What Youu2019ll Do: u2022 Follow all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. u2022 Lead operations, assign work orders, and provide technical and procedural training of coworkers and subcontractors. Arranges for subcontractors as needed. u2022 Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance during downtime to cut business interruption and inconvenience. Plan a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. u2022 Check building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client. u2022 Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staff to make sure the work is complete; equipment is functioning properly, and client space is in great working condition. u2022 Respond to emergency situations and ask for help when needed. u2022 Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives. u2022 Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function. u2022 Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function. u2022 Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Experience in a similar capacity outside of commercial real estate may be considered. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. u2022 Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. u2022 Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. u2022 Strong technical skills with a focus on data analysis. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience using Tableau and Power BI for data visualization is a plus. u2022 An understanding of research fundamentals. Knowledge of how to apply research and data analytics expertise to the benefit of our brand and core businesses. u2022 Must have project management skillset. Can oversee small projects or assigned project tasks, determine priorities and develop a through-line to completion, including harnessing the right resources and collaborating along the way. u2022 Commitment to time management. The minimum salary for the Assistant Chief Engineer position is $40 per hour and the maximum salary for the Assistant Chief Engineer position is $50.50 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidateu2019s skills, qualifications, and experience.
