SummaryJob Description:Monitor TechnicianFull Time I Night ShiftEmergency Department I Lexington, KYAn Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.Description:- Monitor Technician provides continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms with documentation and communication of pertinent arrhythmias and changes in rate, rhythm, NBP, and/or oxygen saturation to nurse responsible.- Observes cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation and Blood pressure. Maintains equipment and supplies.- Documents and communicate information regarding patient rhythms and Oxygen saturations, and blood pressure.- Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.- Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Less than one year's experience.- RN License, LPN, prior monitor tech experience (substitute for degree)- Dysrhythmia courses are completed during orientation and recertified annually.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
