JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Hours: Harvest (1st Shift) 4:30 am - End ofShift (3:00 pm) Fabrication (1st Shift) 4:30 am - End of Shift (1:30 pm-3:30 pm) Fabrication (2nd Shift) 1:30 pm - End of Shift (9 pm) Summary:Production employees use hand tools, knives, and equipment to preparemeat in accordance with specifications and standards (safety, foodsafety, quantity) in preparation for further processing or packaging.The work is physically demanding, fast-paced, repetitive, and isperformed in close proximity to others in a culturally diverse workenvironment. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Use hand tools, knives, orequipment to perform job tasks. Work in a variety of worktemperatures: warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces atvaried heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use ofpersonal protective equipment (PPE). Work around animal blood,carcass parts, and unpleasant odors. Stand on hard surface orelevated platform the entire shift; use stairway, steps, ladders orplatforms. Knife jobs require good knife sharpening skills to meetproduction standards. Comply with all food safety policies andregulations. Adhere to and promote a strong safety culture. Followall safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify andcommunicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance incorrecting unsafe actions or conditions.
