Some of our engineers started themselves as interns here at DreamWorks and are now leading efforts that are recognized industry-wide. Our engineering teams work in several subject areas across our pipeline and company. As a DreamWorks Production Engineering Intern, you may work in one of the following areas:Rendering and ShadingPhysics and SimulationComputer Animation and GraphicsBig Data and AnalyticsLarge Scale Application DevelopmentExtensions to Third Party CG ApplicationsCloud-Native Application DevelopmentConfiguration ManagementTechnical Writing / Web DevelopmentDCC Tools and WorkflowMedia Playback and ManipulationOn any given day, the intern can work on the following:Design, implement, and support aspects of the company’s proprietary software toolsBuild unique software solutions that fuel the bold and creative visions of our artistsInnovate to provide our premier artists with the best tools and deliver a competitive advantage to the studioWork hand-in-hand with dedicated artists and have an immediate, positive impact on their workWork in a collaborative environment & develop problem-solving skillsQualificationsBasic Qualifications: “What do I need to have in order to do this job?”Majoring in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, Physics, and Mathematics or related field(s)Strong interest in animation; passion for how technology and art work togetherDedicated, resourceful, an excellent communicator, possesses critical thinking skills, and is a great teammatePursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date)Submit your resume, cover letter, and a link to any websites (GitHub, Stack Overflow, etc) or blog indicating technical skills such as math and programming.
