As a key individual contributor on the Calypso platform, you will be responsible for designing and developing solutions that support the FX, Rates, Equities, and Commodities businesses. These solutions span front-to-back operations, including trade capture, trade lifecycle management, accounting, settlement, confirmations, and regulatory and compliance reporting. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of financial products and business data flows, and familiarity with vendor platforms and configuration. You will be expected to demonstrate and communicate your capabilities across these areas effectively.Key responsibilities include:Collaborating with product and business stakeholders in an agile environment to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specificationsPartnering with internal technical teams and external vendors to define interfaces, provide estimates, and deliver high-quality solutionsDesigning and enhancing complex platforms and applications to meet evolving business needsManaging full project lifecycle activities and coordinating implementation efforts across multiple functions and departmentsSupporting client groups by identifying training needs and facilitating knowledge transferIn this role, you will:Lead development efforts on Tier 1 projects and mission critical compliance/regulatory efforts with high impact on Calypso platformRecommend and develop viable platform and process improvements for performance, resiliency and automationLead Calypso upgrades and design/development of solutions on Calypso for trade lifecycle, confirmations, accounting and regulatory/compliance reportingWork closely with business and technology partners to determine solutions and provide technical interpretation on various mattersEnsure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiativesIdentify/prioritize, and resolve any queries, provide development and testing support where neededAnalysis of software tools/solution and vendor upgrades, and recommendation on approachMentoring of other team members and providing technical guidanceEngagement with platform team or other downstream partner applications in case of production issuesAct as a key player within Calypso space, and influencer in technology and agile forumsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience in Core Java including data structures, algorithms, multi-threading and exception handling5+ years of experience with Oracle or similar DB including writing efficient and complex queries and optimizing database performanceDesired Qualifications:Experience working on Calypso platform or a similar trading applicationGood Understanding of Trade lifecycle spanning trade capture, trade workflow, settlement, accounting3+ years of experience with Capital Markets / Banking / Financial Services3+ years of experience in messaging technologies such as JMS / MQ / Solace3+ years of experience with CI/CD, EPL, GIT including Jenkins3+ years of experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and Cucumber for writing unit tests and ensuring code qualityStrong understanding of agile application development methodologies such as ScrumDevelopment experience in cloud deployment modelJob Expectations:Must be able to work on-site at the listed locationsRelocation assistance is not availableVisa Sponsorship is not availablePosting Locations: 194 Wood Ave S, Iselin, NJ 08830300 S Brevard St. Charlotte, NC 28202333 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94105Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
