Job Description

As an LNG Operations Technician Sr., you'll lead critical tasks to maintain LNG facility equipment, ensure compliance with regulations, and oversee operations like cryogenic liquefaction and vaporization systems. Organizational, collaboration, and communication skills are keys to success!Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities/Expectations:Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain equipment and support operations; tests, calibrates and validates process safety devices and equipmentResponsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problemsFollows all company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance proceduresInstalls and maintains electrical equipment associated with power distribution systems and electrical safety code, applying technical skills, proficiency and technical leadership in the following areas: Electrical Switchgear, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systemsAcquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assetsMaintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and complianceTroubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical systems including both low and high voltage equipment and uninterruptible power supply systems; removes, repairs and reinstalls sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure and level measurementOther duties as assignedLNG Operations Technician III Education/Years of Experience:Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in natural gas industry experience or equivalent experiencePreferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificatesLNG Operations Technician II Education/Years of Experience:Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (1) years related experience in natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience.Preferred: Associates or two-year technical degreeLNG Operations Technician I Education/Years of Experience:Required: High School Diploma/GEDPreferred: Associates or two-year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates DegreePhysical and Environment Work Requirements:Must be willing to:Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spacesCarry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as neededStand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of timeWork at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)Use hand toolsShift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arisesMay be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight staysOther Requirements: Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving recordDemonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processesDemonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic ControllersPhysical and Environmental Work Requirements:Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spacesCarry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbsStand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of timeWork at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)Use hand toolsShift/Work Hours/Travel RequirementsMust be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as neededMay be required to work overtime, 10-12-hour shifts, extended hours, and travel between William's locations with occasional overnight staysHourly/Salary Guidelines:(Minimum, Midpoint, Maximum)$28 - $41 - $55Why Choose Williams?We are committed to providing our employees with competitive compensation and benefits as part of your Total Rewards package to help protect your current and future physical, emotional, and financial health.
