This is the first level of the 9-1-1 Operations series responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency telephone calls from the public, emergency services providers and other public safety agencies requesting police, fire, medical or other emergency services. They are responsible for efficiently and accurately gathering information and making the appropriate notification for emergency services dispatch in accordance with established policies and procedures.This position is deemed a safety sensitive position, and the selected hire is subject to the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.Position Information:Five Factor Grade: 105Start at Telecommunicator I-105 - $20.20Employees who successfully complete initial training will be allowed to test for promotion to a Telecommunicator II position. (106 grade) -$21.41/hour Typically, a Telecommunicator II makes over$50,000per year.
