Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect forsomeone who can identifypatientdistress and react accordingly, enjoysphlebotomy, placing IV catheters, assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.What you’ll do:Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryEvaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentPartner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsAssist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingWho you are:State Registered Veterinary Technician license requiredPrior veterinary experience required, previousnursing or critical careexperience desiredProficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPerks and Benefits include:Shift Differentials and On-call PayUniform AllowanceStrong career growth and personal development opportunitiesThis role has a hiring range of $18.75-38.00/hrbased on experienceCome as you are.
